Sizing Chart

Mountain Forks
Fork Steer Tube Size-There are 2 main sizes of headset based on steer tube size. 1” and 1 1/8” this is the outside diameter of the steer tube of the fork this is easily measured with a ruler.
A third size (1.5 inches) is becoming popular on mountain bikes. 1.5 bikes require specially sized forks, stems and headsets. Please contact our product support department for more information if your bike uses this size of fork.
Fork Steer Tube Type-There are 2 types of steer tube: threaded, and threadless.
Steer tube length- Threaded forks are pre-cut and you must purchase the same length as your present fork. Threadless forks come uncut and are easily cut-to-length during installation with a Pipecutter (metallic steer tubes only) or hacksaw with cutting guide (all materials).
Fork Travel- The amount a suspension fork moves, from completely unweighted to fully bottomed out*.
Rake- Sometimes referred to as offset. This is the distance of the hub axle measured perpendicularly to the centerline of the fork steer tube. Rake effects several factors such as toe clip overlap and steering responsiveness. Generally a reduced rake will produce a more stable feel, an increased rake will produce a more responsive feel. Suspension forks usually have the offset built into the crown so there is no apparent rake.(shown in red)
Axle-to-Crown-- This is the measurement from the center of the axle to the bottom of the crown race measured along the centerline of the steer tube.(shown in blue)
Brake Fittings- Linear Pull (V-Brake) Studs (left), IS Disc Mount (center), or 74mm Post Mount (right).
*Long travel forks (110mm or greater) are not recommended on bikes designed for short travel (100mm or less) suspension forks. Please contact your bike manufacturer if you are drastically increasing the travel of your fork.

Whether you get your fix by tackling a steep climb or screaming down a near vertical descent, this fork will quickly adapt to any trail you put in its path!
